About Me

Welcome, I'm Vicky, and I am a registered counsellor working in Eastleigh and provide online counselling via Skype (Skypotherapy).

I am the founder and owner of Azalea Counselling, and I offer counselling for a range of life areas, including bereavement and loss, relationship and communication issues and mental health issues.

I offer counselling in a confidential, welcoming and relaxed setting, away from any outside pressures and expectations. Here you can explore feelings and experiences that may be troubling you and find your strengths and solutions for moving forward.

As a person-centred counsellor, I am committed to offering a trusting, caring and supportive relationship where you can be yourself, talk freely, and feel valued, accepted, and truly heard – perhaps for the first time.

I firmly believe that you are the expert in your life, so I will not offer advice, or tell you what to do, yet I will support you in making sense of things for yourself and reaching your own answers and decisions.

My aim is to enable you to make choices and changes that you want to make and continue to strive towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.

I can see you on an individual basis, as a couple, or family, and for short-term or long-term counselling. As a registered member of the National Counselling Society, I adhere to their Code of Ethical Practice, and regularly consult with a counselling supervisor.

I offer a no-obligation consultation, which provides an opportunity to explore counselling, ask any questions you may have, and establish if we could work well together. I can usually see you within 1-3 weeks for this appointment.

You are very welcome to visit my website for further information. If you have any questions, or would like to arrange a consultation, you can call or text 07729 193629, or send an email.

Qualifications & Experience

I hold a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Dip.PC) (Distinction), Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling (Cert.HE) and Centra Counselling Level 1.

I have also been awarded a Certificate in Couple and Family Counselling (Level 4), Certificate in Crisis Counselling and Certificate in Grief and Bereavement Counselling.

I am first-aid trained, and I have undertaken continuing professional development in Bereavement Care, Child Psychology, Holistic Health, Mental Health (various), Mindfulness, Safeguarding Children, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

I am experienced in bereavement counselling, and my working background includes the charitable organisation Cruse Bereavement Care, and bereavement services within Local Authority.

I have sound knowledge in adult mental health, which I have acquired and developed through roles within Solent Mind, the NHS, and Together for Mental Wellbeing, and I am committed to breaking down the stigma that's often associated with mental health issues and mental illness.

As a former volunteer of Women's Aid, I hold valuable knowledge and experience in domestic abuse. I also volunteered for a county-wide CFS/ME charity for a number of years, and have sound knowledge in the physical, social and emotional effects of this condition.

I enjoy group work, and beyond the counselling room I facilitate a group for women with lived experience of mental health issues and mental illness. I am also experienced in facilitating bereavement support groups.
