Contacting a therapist for the first time can be a daunting experience. It’s important you find not only one who is sufficiently qualified, accredited and ethical - but also one you can build a rapport with and feel comfortable enough to open up to. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation so that you can see if I am the right person for you before we meet.
I gained a Distinction in my Hypnotherapy Diploma, so am specialised in dealing with issues from a subconscious perspective, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy - so I utilise an integrative approach, depending on the individual needs of the client.
In 2022, I complete my Post-Graduate Certificate in EMDR Therapy at the University Of Worcester. This has given me a deep insight into the trauma brain and how this affects every aspect of life, as well as the fundamental tools for forcing us to process blocked memories that continue to haunt us from the past. I have also complete a CPD course in Internal Family Systems (IFS) which compliments this approach by targeting and healing our individual parts which have become damaged and changed through trauma.
I have nearly fifteen years of experience dealing with people of all ages, from all walks of life and with all range of issues, from PTSD and traumatic childhoods, to phobias and fears, deep seated anxieties, depression and self-defeating behaviours. Helping people to transform their lives for the better and free themselves from whatever is holding them back is a truly remarkable and rewarding experience I feel honoured to share.
I am a mother of three now almost-grown up children, so have an in-depth knowledge of the many issues young people go through, as well as how to cope with them from a parenting perspective. I have volunteered as a school counsellor and worked in a GP practice, so have a wealth of varied experiences in my field.
I offer a peaceful and comfortable setting in my private garden clinic and a warm, safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment for you to explore your thoughts, heal yourself and empower your future.
From a personal perspective, I am a Zumba instructor and a yoga-instructor in-training. I have two energetic dogs, so am also a keen dog walker. I’m a big believer that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind.
