Warm, approachable counsellor. I work in a person-centred way which means accepting you just as you are and what you're currently coping with or facing in your life, and working together towards feeling better about yourself and your life. You may have a clear sense of why you're considering counselling, but it might feel hard to put into words or even name. I offer talking therapy, but can help you pay gentle attention to what your body might be communicating to you in subtle ways. I can help you tap into your inner resources and find new ways forward. As well as being a qualified counsellor I am also a Focusing Practitioner with the British Focusing Association.

I have a particular interest in working with childhood trauma that might be holding you back in life, and/or causing depression and anxiety and feeling stuck. I can talk with you about what trauma is, how childhood and later traumas continue to affect us as adults and how you can heal. Focusing-oriented therapy is an effective trauma-healing modality.

I have been helping people with focusing for 8 years and it has been transformative in my own life. You can work with me as your counsellor and alternatively you can learn focusing with me which you then have as a resource in your life outside of the counselling room.
