I am a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, Counsellor and an Accredited Supervisor with a private practice in Monmouth Abergavenny and Cardiff. My aim as a counsellor is to provide a service where clients can discuss their concerns in a safe, confidential, caring and compassionate environment.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is 'present focussed,' it works with thoughts and feelings in the 'here and now.' Sometimes, through no fault of our own we often get 'stuck,' in vicious cycles. CBT is about finding out what is keeping us 'stuck,' and making changes in our thinking and actions in order to improve the way we feel. CBT is a collaborative and evidenced based therapy and it has proven to be particularly successful for treating anxiety and depression and low self esteem.

Having studied world religions and philosophy I am also able to provide counselling from a spiritual and faith perspective but only if this is of relevance to you.

I am also available for bereavement support and counselling, coaching, mentoring and counselling supervision.

Some feedback I have received from former clients demonstrates the benefits of counselling and learning CBT techniques.

' it is an amazing feeling when you're listened to without judgement in a caring and supportive environment. I now feel in a better place -happier and content and looking forward to the future.'

'All of my sessions with Helen were supportive and the CBT techniques Helen taught me brought about a huge change in my thinking patterns and in my confidence.'
