Mates in Mind

I‘m so pleased that you‘ve taken a first step towards getting the support you feel you need. I found my way to this work by being a client myself. Therapy works. I hope you‘ll let it help you.

I have experience of helping many people grappling with all kinds of problems in their lives. For me, one of the main objectives of counselling is for you to find your true voice and self. So often, we cover up who we really are and what we really feel in order to please others. We fear letting go of this performance, thinking that others won‘t like the real us. Strangely, it‘s usually the case that people around us like us more when we dare to reveal ourselves.

Depression and anxiety are so often symptoms of a deep dis-ease (and not simply conditions to be cured only with drugs). It‘s my aim to gently uncover the real, lovable person beneath the mask and to support you in getting to know and accept all the aspects of yourself, your strengths and flaws - all of your potential.

If you are facing an immediate crisis, I can help with this, too, supporting you as we explore together how you feel and what you can do to change things or work towards accepting the unchangable.

There‘s lots more information on my website www.carolinelevine.co.uk and a collection of articles on therapy on my page of the Counselling Directory website: www.counselling-directory.org.uk/counsellors/caroline-le-vine
