I believe that everyone can get to a more positive place but may need a little help to get there. Therapy can offer you a safe and confidential space to be heard, without judgement, and support you in seeing more clearly, gaining a new perspective. I know from personal experience what it is to feel overwhelmed and the difference that counselling can make.
After many years running a small business, I followed my heart and trained as a counsellor. I am very aware of the particular stress that managing a business or being responsible for other staff can bring. I believe if I have a gift, it is the ability to listen and understand, without judgement and with a degree of wisdom. We can all benefit from sharing, in confidence, anything that is troubling us and hindering our lives, gaining a new perspective and finding our own way forward through therapy. I won’t tell you what to do but I will provide support as you find your own answers.
I have experience of working on both short-term - with the NHS IAPT service, and long-term basis. I have a particular interest in, and experience of, working with abuse in childhood but also work with many other issues.
As an integrative therapist with a firm grounding in Person Centred theory, I will work with you at your pace and with what you want to bring; drawing from other modalities as appropriate and with your informed consent, tailoring therapy to your particular needs. Together we will explore what has brought you to counselling and how this issue might be resolved.
