Mates in Mind

I qualified as a Hypnotherapist in 2015 and as a Counsellor in 2017. Since then I have completed my Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and am currently studying for my certificate in Children's Counselling. I will also be starting my MSc in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies at Queen Mary University in London in September 2018.

I have trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural, Rational Emotive Behaviour, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy and have also recently completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Dialectic Behavioural Therapy. This means that I am able to tailor my approach to help you in whatever way works best for you and enables you to achieve your therapeutic goals. It is my believe as a counsellor that we all have the power within us to heal ourselves, but there are times we need a bit more guidance to do that - so that’s what I aim to do.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading, crafting and running. I also enjoy going to the theatre and live music concerts. I also have a keen interest in fantasy and Life Action Role Playing.
