Sometimes we encounter difficulties in our lives that are hard to face on our own, it can be helpful to have someone outside of our usual circle of friends and family to talk to.
Counselling can be a source of comfort and help us through the difficult times, as we recover from these events, we can feel more confident and resourced. Having someone there who understands, listens and does not judge is very powerful and can result in change.
My aim is to provide you with a confidential, empathic support and a space for you to express your concerns, thoughts and feelings and where you can feel safe, listened to and accepted as you work towards a place of recovery and freedom in your life.
During my time as a counsellor, I have helped clients work through many issues, these include depression and anxiety, disruptive early life attachment, relationship difficulties, various mental and emotional issues, stress, trauma, abuse.
I have training in working with sex and sexuality, addictions and solution focussed brief therapy.
I have a special interest in working with self-harm.
