The Bereavement Counselling Service are based in Plymouth, Devon. They provide specialist counselling for complicated grief and traumatic loss. Their team is made up of qualified counsellors who all work as volunteers. Before working with clients all volunteers receive in-depth training in this specialist work. The service also has a team of volunteer supervisors who provide valuable support and guidance to the counsellors. Due to the nature of the work it can be challenging but it brings great rewards. The service are always looking for volunteer counsellors and supervisors to join their busy team. They are sometimes able to offer placements to trainee counsellors.
