About Me

I am friendly, approachable, really easy going and am very easy to talk too. I’m very motivated and driven in what I do, and as so I help clients aim and reach their goals and their full potential. I really strive to help people and have a love for animals and realise their therapeutic value to people.
I have a background in Care & Nursing, Mental Health Care, Social Care, Disability and illness, so I have a broad knowledge of services, business and health & living with and managing disabilities.
I run my own private practice providing Counselling and/or Animal Assisted Therapy to children 11 and over, adolescents, adults and older people.

When you first come to see me the assessment takes approximately an hour and a half and this time includes a free time to chat. If your still happy to continue then we complete contracts and you book and pay for your next session.

I work from a humanistic approach integrating different therapeutic modalities into the therapy sessions to suit each client as required, for example CBT, Solution Focused etc.

Counselling can be with or without a therapy pet present. Neisha is the main Therapy animal, she is cat totally devoted to her clients. I also have a small therapy dog and a robot cat for the more frail and older person. I also have access to horses to work with. When stroking a pet it releases feel good hormones for you and the pet. It brings about great health benefits like lowering blood pressure, lowering stress and anxiety levels, improving mood, help build self esteem, lowering heart rate, helping with depression, help with confidence, etc.

I offer a comfortable private and confidential space to talk about anything without fear or judgement. Why not try Counselling with a difference!
