I am a qualified Counsellor with extensive experience and I am Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society No.VV00P02 (NCS).
My private practice is located in Oxford (2 miles Southeast of the city centre of Oxford) with easy access from the Eastern By-Pass Road.
I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy for adolescents (individuals between ages 17 and 24) and adults, in a confidential and supportive environment, in which you can feel completely at ease to talk about your thoughts and feelings – and be understood. I always want to make sure that my clients will benefit from my professional and non-judgmental service. I meet my clients in a warm and accepting environment, honoring each client as an individual.
I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also use a variety of talking therapies including Person-centred therapy, Psychodynamic approach, Solution-focused brief therapy and Gestalt techniques. I consider that every client is unique, so my approach is tailored to fit each person's individual needs.
I am working as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 2004 when I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Psychology. During my time at university I also completed certified courses in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and Gestalt therapy. More recently, I have undertaken a two-year Diploma course in Counselling and Psychotherapy leading to accreditation as a counsellor by the National Counselling Society.
Through the years, working with different clients, personally I developed quite extensive practical and training experience in the areas of relationships, depression, anger management, traumas, phobias and addictions.
The most common issues which I also see with my clients are: relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, eating disorders, low self-esteem, drug and alcohol problems. Please take a look at the other different areas of counselling which I deal with.
I work quite well with clients experiencing Gambling addiction, Video Games addiction and Internet addiction and I have achieved good results with clients who have been literally obsessed by their passion for Gambling and playing Video games. Therefore the methods in my work are informed by my practical experience.
I offer FREE initial consultation session as an opportunity for you and me to see if we can work well together and to explain myself better what techniques I use in my work with my clients and what will be the possible outcomes from our sessions.
