I am a professionally qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and registered member of the National Counselling Society.
I aim to provide clients with a safe environment, in which to be heard, in a time that they feel misunderstood; when life may be stationery and unsettling with no apparent way forward.
I seek to provide an opportunity for interchangeable dialogue, in a non judgemental manner; for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings which have valid meaning in what they are facing or may have faced.
I see that a ‘helping hand’ may be all that is required, to create that platform or ‘stepping stone;’ when all other coping strategies have been exhausted.
It is an important principle of mine, not to make assumptions about what an individual may be going through; but actively listen to clients treating them with ‘Empathy’ and ‘Respect’ which we all deserve.
I am trained in a Person Centred and integrated approach, which covers by way of example Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis models of counselling.
The focus is always on you and not me, with that in mind I am able to tailor make suitable support plans.
Finally I embrace, value and adhere to the code and ethics, set out by The National Counselling Society which I believe will safeguard all parties concerned.
