There are times in our life when pressures mount up so much, that they really impact on the quality of our day to day living and our overall wellbeing. This may be caused by specific events such as a relationship breakup, the death of a pet or loved one, redundancy or our health. It could be more general such as unfulfilling relationships whether that be with your colleagues, parents, siblings, partner or your children. Or, you’re not sure what’s causing you to feel so fed up – you ‘should’ be happy. Building resilience does not eradicate the stress and anxiety of everyday life, but it does reduce the impact.

Working together, I can help you learn how to manage the emotional impact of pain and stresses in your life. Being able to express your thoughts and feelings without the dread of being hurt or judged, will give you opportunity to practice problem solving alongside building your own support systems, helping you live a more fulfilling life.

I know from my own experience that attending counselling can, at times, feel really scary, yet if you're brave enough, it can also be one of the most enriching. That's why it's really important to make sure you find a counsellor that is a good fit for you, shop around and make sure they feel right for you.

I have the privilege of over twenty-five years of experience of working with children, young people and adults, who have experienced more than their fair share of life’s challenges, from warfare, neglect, sexual abuse, abandonment, serious illness, physical abuse, domestic abuse, bereavement, criminality, poverty, separation, rape, and drug and alcohol abuse, to name a few. I have been, and continue to be astounded by individual’s resilience and how they do the best they can to survive such horrific experiences. I have always been honoured by the trust placed in me, to hear and witness their experiences, and to allow me to help support them to live life more fully. One of the most powerful things I have learnt is that even in the darkest of places, there’s always hope.
