I understand it takes courage to talk to someone about your feelings and how important it is to be met with warmth and compassion when you have taken this step to get support. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues or overwhelm from life's struggles I offer a safe space to find support without judgement.

This process may be seen as a journey, which we share together for a time and requires only ‘the willingness and the courage to be’.

If you have had enough and feel like it is time to change, why not call for a 15-minute free consultation.

I firmly believe that the counselling relationship is key to the therapeutic process, I am committed to developing a trusting relationship where you can feel safe to be yourself, free from judgement. I believe there is opportunity to gain insight into our own ways of relating to others within a kind and trusting relationship.

I have had extensive experience working with anxiety and depression, relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, self identity and many other issues and I understand how debilitating it can be to live with these overwhelming feelings.   Counselling can offer tools to ease the distress of these feelings and a deeper understanding of yourself. We will work on how to relate to feelings, thoughts and behaviours in ways that can allow you to thrive.

I work in a gentle and compassionate way in order for you to feel safe. The way I work is to include all aspects of your life, your emotional, cognitive, and bodily sensations in present moment awareness as well as looking into past patterns that have affected you negatively. We will also look at cultural, family situations and conditions that are affecting you.

Through therapy we uncover the underlying issues that are core to your pain and suffering and by addressing these together you can become aware of them, understand and accept them, finding true healing.

Traumas held within our bodies and minds are pockets or ‘holds in time’, of unmet, unsupported, undigested life. My aim is to provide a space for these ‘short circuits’ to be re-connected, metabolised and integrated into the whole.   Through gentle probing and sensitive questioning, through guiding you into a deeper experiencing of your body’s ‘felt sense’, through a sharing of insights arising between us, I aim to facilitate a deepening awareness of your own life.

I create a safe space for you to feel into your feelings, and as you meet them, you may discover a new sense of aliveness within you and your life. Feelings, once acknowledged, are self-liberating, and fuel us into greater wholeness. It is only when they are unrecognised, unmet and unloved that they trap us.

When you get in touch with me for a free 15 minute consultation you can ask me any question you'd like answered and I also will ask you a little about yourself - why you are considering support and when would be a good time for you to meet for regular sessions in the week .  Looking at when we are both potentially free is a good way to start. This would be for an introductory session.

In this session it is a good chance for you to decide whether I could be the right therapist for you. The introductory session lasts one hour and gives us enough time to discuss the opportunity to work together in more detail.
