Hi, I’m Jamie, thanks for visiting my profile, I know it can be hard to get to this stage. You might be here because you feel something’s not right or you might know exactly what you want to work on. Either way counselling can help.

I have 20 years of training and experience in psychology, mental health, and counselling and I have a good understanding of how therapy works. I’ll provide a safe haven where you have my complete attention. I will listen without judgment and strive to understand your experience as fully as I can. The more you explore what’s troubling you the more you can come to terms with the past, accept where you are, who you are, and move forwards with life.

I welcome your feedback; if something’s not helping please let me know. I continue to work on my personal development and read new research in order to further develop my acceptance, empathy and understanding.

I want to do what I can to reduce the stigma of mental health. We all have the capacity to suffer and to be overwhelmed by distress. I am saddened that in our society there is still such shame attached to mental health issues. I have respect and compassion for people regardless of what they are struggling with.

It can be difficult to find the right counsellor which is why I offer a half price introductory session. This will give you the opportunity to see whether you’ll be comfortable working with me and ask any questions that you need to. Please contact me if you have any initial questions (by phone, email, or text: whichever you prefer). I look forward to meeting you.
