I can support you to deal with your difficulties and manage whatever life throws at you, and how to do it with resilience and authenticity. I believe that everyone has the strength not just to survive, but to truly thrive.
I am a certified and practicing member of the Foundation for Emotional Therapeutic Counselling . I use an integrative approach with emphasis on both of these therapies, and also draw on my own life experiences to help clients.
I have really benefited from both emotional therapeutic counselling and wellbeing coaching and believe that our emotional wellbeing holds the key to a contented and fulfilling life. Emotional Therapeutic Counselling positively changes the way in which we perceive ourselves, others and the world.
I work with adults, young people who are suffering emotional turmoil in their lives. I use a range of gentle techniques to assist clients recognise and release painful feelings by working with the emotions rather than the mind. I believe the quality of our lives is influenced by our emotional health. The logical mind cannot change the way we feel about others and ourselves. If we feel ok we cope with the ups and downs of life; if we are feeling low, nothing seems right and we can become depressed and hopeless.
What to Expect when Working with Me:
I am warm and accepting of all my client's experiences and feelings. I listen with understanding, without judgement and help my clients find solutions from within. With a greater sense of hopefulness and personal power my clients are more able to resolve issues in an authentic way and develop their own goals with independence. I am empathetic and positive, and include a gentle humour. I aim to provide a safe space to explore deep and difficult emotions.
With 1:1 support I can help you navigate difficulties in your life and improve your wellbeing.
