Key Worker Counselling

Sometimes our problems can feel too big or overwhelming to manage ourselves. Talking to a trusted and valued friend may help but often we are left struggling to cope with difficult emotions, thoughts and experiences which may lead us to feel stressed, anxious or depressed. We may notice that we are repeating the same unhelpful patterns of behaviour without understanding why or that we have lost our sense of purpose about our life, our relationships and our work, leading to a decreased sense of well-being, and an increase in negative emotions such as anger, sadness and feelings of hopelessness or helplessness.

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor where warmth, empathy and acceptance underlie all aspects of my practice giving you the confidence to safely explore the issue(s) that are causing you distress. My role is not to tell you what to do but to work alongside you as you reach your own insights and solutions. I have experience working with a range of psychological and emotional issues such as mild to moderate depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, and work and relationship issues, among others. If you feel apprehensive about beginning counselling, I'd be happy to discuss your concerns either by phone or email. To make an initial appointment, please contact me or if you'd like more detailed information, please visit my website at: www.justinehewittcounselling.co.uk

I work with young adults (16+), adults and older adults.
