Key Worker CounsellingMates in Mind

First and foremost as a counsellor I offer you my attention, respect and acceptance of where you may be in your life right now, providing support as you move at your own pace, towards your choice of destination.

Working from venues in both Settle and Skipton, I am a qualified counsellor who integrates different counselling techniques, depending on the needs and aspirations of my clients. Most importantly however, I believe in the power of positive action.

In particular I have lots of experience working with people suffering from anxiety, stress and worry.

Through my work at Cancer Support, Yorkshire I have also supported many people affected by cancer, whether that is the person themselves, a relative, carer or friend.

Although primarily I work in a person centred way, having completed the 8 week 'Finding Peace in a Frantic World' mindfulness course, I have experienced at first hand the effectiveness of mindfulness.  In the right circumstances, therefore I use mindfully based cognitive therapy techniques to enhance the counselling process.

Appointments are available during the day and can also be arranged in the evenings and weekends for the convenience of those people who are busy during the day.
