Hi there. My name is Claire and I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I believe that we all, at some point in our life, need someone to talk to with the aim of helping us to move forward with our lives. It may be that you are feeling low, or that you have suffered a loss in your life, you could be going through a relationship breakdown or finding it difficult to cope with certain things in life at the moment. No matter what it is that you feel you need to talk about, I can assure you that I will listen to whatever it is, and give you the support that you need along the way, without any judgement.

My aim as a counsellor is to provide you with the opportunity and space to explore your feelings and your thoughts in a safe, warm and confidential setting. I strongly believe that by having this time to talk openly and honestly, you will be able to become more aware of who you are and why you behave in certain ways. And with my help and support you will feel able to cope more easily with your situation.

My approach is Humanistic Integrative which means that I am able to use different theories and techniques to suit the needs of each client. I believe that each individual is different and therefore the way that they cope with situations will be different. So it is important for me as your counsellor to adapt accordingly.

I work with adults and young people with a range of issues including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, addiction, bereavement and relationship issues. Please see below for the full range of issues that I am able to work with. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I adhere to their codes and ethics.

I understand that taking this step is a daunting and challenging one, but please know that I will be there to help you feel at ease, and to listen to everything you want to say in the strictest confidence, and without any judgement.
