I will help you to overcome the difficulties that are preventing you from enjoying life to the full. I understand that suffering with stress, anxiety or PTSD can have a huge impact on your life. You may be experiencing panic attacks, heart palpitations, tight chest, or nausea. Perhaps you suffer with distressing flashbacks or disassociation. You may feel frequently on edge, easily startled, irritable or tired. Maybe this has had a knock on effect on your self-esteem and confidence. Or maybe you suffer with phobias, or feel overwhelmed by simple tasks. All of this could be affecting your wellbeing, your work, or your relationships.

Alongside counselling and hypnotherapy, I offer a fast-track treatment for PTSD. This treatment, know as Rewind Therapy, has had excellent results in rapidly re-programming traumatic memories so that people are no longer suffering flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts or panic attacks. Unlike traditional treatments for trauma, such as CBT or EMDR, the treatment takes only 2-3 sessions. It does not involve telling the therapist details of the trauma, and so it is less intrusive and less painful.

I will work collaboratively with you in a person-centred and holistic way, I incorporate different theories into my practice, to find what suits you best. Together we will find solutions, develop coping strategies and make the positive changes you want in your life. You will gain confidence, increase your self-esteem and feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions.

I work online, via zoom, so you can enjoy your treatment from the comfort of your own home. Counselling works very well online, and can be just as effective as a face-to-face session. • Qualifications & Experience

  I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and hypnotherapist. I have an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, I hold a Masters in Social Work from Nottingham University and I have a Diploma in Sports Psychology.
  
  I have been trained in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness techniques. I have also trained in Rewind Therapy with Dr David Muss to deliver a specialist therapeutic treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
  
  I worked for many years on a Personality Disorder ward in a psychiatric hospital, offering group and individual therapy to people who have suffered severe trauma. I have been in private practice since 2014.
  
  I specialise in treating PTSD, trauma, stress and anxiety disorders.
