Mates in Mind

When counselling I use an integrative approach that encompasses different therapies such as person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodyamic, mindfulness, solution-focused therapies, hypnotherapy, and play and creative therapies. I find this then gives clients a tool box of skills that they can use, rather than just one approach. I will be empathic, honest, and non-judgemental during our sessions.

As well as my private practice I work as a college counsellor for the YMCA's mental health champions program. Then I also work for respect for all counselling, using counselling and play therapy with children who have learning disabilities, aspergers, autism spectrum conditions, and supporting their parents, families and carers. I then also volunteer for the charity place2be working with children in primary schools.
