Roger Sealy Dip.Couns. MNCS( Accred)
Hello, I live and work in Carlisle, Cumbria. In my counselling practice I utilise and integrate Person-Centred , Cognitive-Behaviour-Therapy (CBT) counselling techniques, Hypnotherapy and Gestalt methods. I also create and use Relaxation Guided Visualisations in my support of clients.
I have a Diploma in Counselling, and a Certificate of Achievement in CBT and the Emotional Disorders at degree level from The University of Cumbria.
As a practitioner I am an Accredited Member of The National Counselling Society, and abide by their Codes of Ethics and Practice. The organisation exists to help counsellors, but also to maintain professional standards and give clients that protection.
I am on a voluntary register (AVR) that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. The AVR Scheme was set up by the Government to improve standards and safety for the benefit of the public. Being registered in this way demonstrates my committment to high professional standards, to enhancing safety and delivering a better service.
I appreciate that it may be hard to seek out what is in effect a complete stranger to talk to. I deem it a privilege to be able to be 'alongside' someone as they make their journey through 'difficult times'
