I am an integrative therapist based just north of Romsey, Hampshire, with experience in working with older children, adolescents and young people in a school and voluntary environment as well as with adults. I am currently working as a counsellor both in private practice and for a local youth organisation. I aim to offer a confidential, safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment to explore difficult issues that seem to weigh us down and prevent us from living in a more fulfilled way. I aim to work creatively, and alongside the client to allow them to find their own solutions. My therapeutic work includes helping clients with stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and confidence, self-harm, suicidal ideation, bereavement and loss, and relationship issues.

I provide long and short term counselling depending on the needs of the client, based on mutually agreed goals and time frame. Longer term therapy, in particular, can be distressing but to work through long held thoughts in a supported environment can be healing and give resolution for the client. The integrative approach uses a variety of therapy models, aiming to best suit to the individual and presenting issue. As an accredited member of the National Counselling Society I adhere to its ethical framework.

I have extensive experience of working with Secondary age students in school. Most of my therapy work has been with young people aged 11-25 years old on a one to one basis, including some work with clients with autistic traits. I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and my details can be checked on the update service.

I have a particular interest in bereavement and loss and I work with a local charity supporting children as young as 4 who have experienced the loss of a close family relative.
