Gordon is currently employed by Gray Healthcare as our Psychologically Informed Therapist. As such, he provides support to the staff teams, 'of the people we support', many of whom, have recently left long-term in patient settings.
Gordon also has a primary focus of embedding Trauma Informed Approaches across the organisation, delivering training to our clinical and operational teams.

Gordon is an experienced counsellor and therapist who has collaboratively worked with individuals, couples and groups in various settings. He has had over 10 years of experience working as a clinician in the Department of Psychological Therapies at an independent rehabilitation hospital (mental health) in North Wales and has been a consultant for Hope-Borland Associates in Greater Manchester.
Gordon has trained and worked as a Transformative Mediator in the London borough of Greenwich, working with housing associations, local government agencies and individuals in ‘crisis’, seeking neighbourhood conflict resolution. He has also managed a part time private practices (in London and Wales) utilising Clinical Hypnotherapy and Brief Strategic Therapy approaches to support clients.
As a registered member of the National Counselling Society, Gordon draws upon theory, research, and practice from various psychology and counselling models and adopts a flexible and integrated approach. He works collaboratively and interactively with clients in a multimodal approach, adhering to the core principles of empathy, congruence and positive regard.
Gordon holds a Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, B.S.T.F (Acc), a Practitioner Diploma in Brief (Cognitive) Strategic Therapy, S.B.S.T. (Acc), utilising EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and reprocessing), and three Diplomas in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, including the Advanced Professional Diploma, Ad Pro Dip PC, accredited by the National Counselling Society and the Royal College of Nursing. Gordon is currently interested in the study and practice of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), integrating Mindfulness based approaches and Trauma Informed Practice.
